About the 2026 Formula 1 Season
The 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship is the premier single-seater motor racing competition, featuring 10 constructor teams and 20 drivers competing across a calendar of Grand Prix events worldwide. The season spans circuits from Bahrain to Abu Dhabi, taking in iconic venues including Monaco, Silverstone, Monza, and Suzuka.
Teams compete for both the Drivers' Championship — awarded to the individual driver who accumulates the most points — and the Constructors' Championship, decided by the combined points of each team's two drivers. Points are awarded to the top 10 finishers (25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1), plus a bonus point for the fastest lap in the top 10.
Sprint weekends feature a shortened qualifying format followed by a 100 km sprint race on Saturday, with additional points available for positions 1–8 (8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1).
